SXSW 2024 Report
Over 70 stages, 1500 artists from over 60 countries and around 300,000 visitors. The SXSW Festival has impressive numbers to offer. It has been held in Austin, Texas, every March since 1987, with the exception of 2020, the Covid year. In addition to music, there are also conferences and exhibitions in the fields of film and interactive media. Anyone who wants to make it big in the music business in the United States plays at least one unpaid concert, a so-called “showcase”, during the 10 days.

Seit 1987 findet es jedes Jahr im März im texanischen Austin statt, mit Ausnahme von 2020, dem Covid-Jahr. Neben der Musik gibt es auch Konferenzen und Ausstellungen im Bereich Film und interaktive Medien. Wer im Musikgeschäft in den Vereinigten Staaten groß rauskommen will, der spielt während der 10 Tage mindestens ein unbezahltes Konzert, einen so genannten „Showcase“.
