Strom und Drang – Future Soundscapes
Musik war immer schon Vorreiter, wenn es um neue Technologien geht. Musikvideos haben in den 80er Jahren zum Beispiel „Special Effects“ ausprobiert, die später in Filmen zum Standard wurden. Elektronische Instrumente, wie der Synthesizer oder der Computer sind heute die Gegenwart. Doch vor ein paar Jahrzehnten klang so die Zukunft: Das war Science Fiction. Kommende Woche beginnt das viertägige Festival „Future Soundscapes“ im Silent Green im Wedding und beschäftigt sich genau damit.
Music has always been a pioneer when it comes to new technologies. Music videos, for example, tried out “special effects” in the 80s, which later became standard in movies. Electronic instruments such as the synthesizer or the computer are the present today. But a few decades ago, this is what the future sounded like: that was science fiction. Next week, the four-day festival “Future Soundscapes” at Silent Green in Wedding begins and deals with exactly that.
