Technologien bestimmen unseren Alltag: Wir kommunizieren mit dem Handy, arbeiten mit dem Computer und sprechen mit Maschinen, wenn wir einkaufen, um nur ein paar Beispiele zu nennen.Neue Technologien bedeuten auch, dass wir die Welt um uns herum anders oder neu wahrnehmen als noch vor ein paar Jahrzehnten. Und wie gehen wir damit um? Die „Technikphilosophie“ beschäftigt sich genau damit. Dr. Janina Loh hat eine Post-Doc Stelle an der Universität Wien und forscht auf diesem Gebiet.
Technologies determine our everyday life: We communicate with our mobile phones, work with our computers and talk to machines when we go shopping, to name just a few examples. New technologies also mean that we perceive the world around us differently or in a new way than we did a few decades ago. And how do we deal with this? The “philosophy of technology” deals with this issue. Dr. Janina Loh has a post-doc position at the University of Vienna and is researching in this field.
